Site Meter adds outbound click tracking

March 14, 2006 by

The famous Site Meter website traffic tracker has recently added a new tracking metric, appropriately named ‘Out Clicks’. It tracks the last 100 links that your site visitors click that takes them to another site.

Webmasters can use this information to improve site design or perhaps enhance the site income potential by strategically place contextual ads around that content.

However, this feature is available only to those that use the java script version of Site Meter HTML. Tracking out clicks for Adsense or most advertising banner is not supported.

Check out Site Meter blog here for more information.
