Microsoft delays Windows Vista until 2007
Another delay for consumer Windows Vista which will cause the software to miss the 2006 holiday shopping season. However the enterprise version will be available in November 2006.
From the article:
Jim Allchin, co-president of platform products and services at Microsoft, said in a conference call that the company decided to delay the consumer version of Vista because PC manufacturers required more time to test and prepare their systems.
I am planning to buy a laptop powered by Vista before Christmas but looks I’ll have to wait until next year. Actually I don’t really mind since I can look forward to buying a more powerful laptop in 2007.
