The first, they accused me of fradulent clicks, I had USD250 (a total of a few months) there. The 2nd time, I applied with the same name, they approved and I accumulated over USD100 and they told me the same thing. So, I bet they do drag their feet until the time when they are issuing cheques before they tell you your account has been suspended. Not a very nice thing 'cos they should have banned an account the moment they detected fradulent clicks and not wait until payment time. BTW, I am not leaving my URL here. LOL. Whilst Google can’t actually “take” the money, as such, they can, and probably do “use” it.

In the same way that banks play with your money on the stock market whilst you’re waiting for your cheque to “clear”, this gives google a “float” of tens of millions of dollars to make short-term investments with.

While I am aware of such possibility, I won’t go as far as speculating that they’ll use it like that of a bank playing with our money.

Don’t be surprised if google puts some sort of limits on the accounts soon; something along the lines of “if the money is not claimed within six months of being earned, we keep it”

My personal opinion is that this is quite unlikely. Imagine the uproar in the webmaster communities if this were to happen. Google motto “Don’t be evil” :)

The ones who thought they’d get rich from no hard work, got their friends and family to click a few ads for them, earned about 20 bucks, then decided it was too hard and forgot about it.
