Hybrid Hard Drive will enable Instant Booting for Vista

Samsung and Microsoft will announce a hybrid hard drive that will enable Vista based laptops and desktops PCs boot much faster.
The drive uses a combination of flash memory and standard hard drive technology designed to speed the boot-up process and prolong battery life. The functionality is explicitly supported in Windows Vista.
The drive will be unveiled at Microsoft’s Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC), which starts on May 24 in Seattle.
