200 Most Popular Keywords On The Internet – Who Is Searching For Them?

I have always been interested in finding out where the queries for the most popular keywords are coming from. With the help from Google, now I can.
The following most popular keywords are obtained from Wordstracker 200 long-term keyword report where the search terms are derived from the largest metacrawlers on the web (Metacrawler/Dogpile etc) for the last 90 days.
Wordtrackers has filtered out adult related searches but some might occasionally appear on the list. Due to the nature of the Internet it is a fact that about 20 – 25% of search engine queries are of this nature.
With the help of Google Trends, I was able to find the Top Cities where the queries are coming from.
You’ll notice that several of the search terms do not have any trends data. This is because in the initial roll out, Google Trends is not updated regularly and the results could be as much as a month old. Therefore, keywords that have just recently made it into the top list do not have enough search volume to show trends data.

- Paris Hilton is very popular in Melbourne , Australia.
- People from Milton Keyne , UK, love to play “free online games” or any “online games”
- New Yorkers searched for “dictionary” the most
- Seattle loves “cat”, while Denver loves “dog”
- American Idol is popular in Honolulu
- Jennifer Lopez is big in Tehran , Iran
