Google AdSense A Failure For a Blog On Technorati Top 100?

His blog has been consistently between ranked 35th and 45th of the most popular in the world according to Technorati top 100 and yet he can’t even make decent income from AdSense.
Is implementing AdSense to monetize a blog a waste of time?
For some blogs, I believe AdSense is the better choice but keep in mind that you need to optimize your ads in order to maximize your earning potential. But if that doesn’t work, you should start looking for other alternatives.
I guess it’s all depends on your situation.

Or whether money is that important to you than blogging. Come on, this is Guy Kawasaki. I’m not all for Apple…but he wrote the book (literally) on spreading the word of mouth.
The fact is that if you don’t make money, you can’t support yourself as a professional blogger. But this guy is not Darren Rowse and he’s not a pro blogger. The point of this post is that AdSense does not work for everyone.
Then you should have read Guy Kawasaki’s take on it, and I quote:
Adsense would probably work or he might try another form of advertising. But he’s not the kind that takes things like that seriously. A lot of good bloggers don’t take that kind of thing seriously. Revenue isn’t all that important in blogging when your interest in blogging isn’t making money in the first place.
Like I said, he is not Darren Rowse.
While I understand where you are going, I am talking about a different thing here if you know what I mean
