Bloggers Can Make Money, But Most Keep Their Day Jobs

Undoubtedly, Google AdSense has been helping many bloggers to make extra money from their blogs.
The truth is there’s a majority making nothing. A sizable minority making at least $100 a month and a few like Darren Rowse of ProBlogger.net are making serious money.
The Christian Science Monitor is running an article about how contextual adverting or Google AdSense in particular, helps the average bloggers makes some extra cash.
While a USD100 per month may not be worth the trouble to a blogger in the US, I think publishers in developing countries such as India and China can reap the greatest benefit from AdSense.
I am making a couple of hundreds dollars per month from blogging and it translates to over a thousands Ringgit. While blogging is not my main source of income, I still find the extra income helpful in paying my bills.
Two Malaysian bloggers that I know of, Menj.org and LiewCF.com, are doing at it full time making a living from their blogs.
If done right, blogging can be financially and emotionally rewarding. Just that, you do not have to depend on Google AdSense alone if you are planning to make money from it. May be you can learn a thing or two from John Chow.
