Google Blogoscoped has a post up about Google Censorship FAQ. It’s a long read which describes the ongoing debate about how Google handle censorship.
Unlike the Chinese Government, thankfully we do not have a government who actively filter Internet content, the potential it there but it hasn’t been fully materialized on the Internet.
But that’s does not mean one can break the local law and get away with it. Website critical of the government policy in particular have been previously threaten with legal actions by the government particularly during the Mahathir reign.
