Server Migration Is In Progress
April 2, 2007 by Gaman
We are currently in the process of migrating our websites into a new dedicated server.
I hope the new server will be able to handle the ever increasing resource demand and makes the downtime that we’ve been experiencing a thing of the past.
The migration process is not as straight forward as I wish it should have been since it involves moving accounts from two different control panels - Ensim Pro to the cPanel. We’ll try to avoid any downtime during the process but if you experience any – you know why.
Some specs of the new server
- Processor: Dual Xeon 2.4
- DDR Memory: 3GB
- Hard drive: 2×80GB SATA (will be upgraded to 2×200GB in RAID I)
In the meantime, I got some interesting ideas brewing to help my readers be more successful in their blogging effort.
If you have a blog hosted on blogger.com or thinking of creating a new Wordpress blog with a domain name of your choice, I am going to help you do it for free. You don’t even have to pay for hosting!
Come back later as I’ll reveal more in my coming posts.

wow..great deal….can I have a hosting also…hehe
There’s a catch - but it won’t be a hard thing to do hehe
All the best Gaman!
I think you will like cPanel more. It’s way more user-friendly and powerful compared to Ensim… at least in my opinion
My first impression about the ‘new’ cPanel was good
Actually I’ve used it before but it was a long time ago.
this is not april fool thing eh?
i want 2 domains.. hehhehe
It’s not April Fool thing
Obviously I can’t give free domains and free hosting to everyone (hosting is not free for live) so I’ll set up some rules and pick the winners at random.
I haven’t worked out the details yet.
Surely cPanle is best in the hosting industry. Alot of feautres and ease of use. Gaman you must wirte that newbie tutorial “Hosting your blogs with blogger and wordpress, with your own domains”.
Good suggestion. Let see if I can come up with such post.
without cpanel..i think i never start blogging long time ago…January actually hehehe. so easy to use!
Hope everything working fine Gaman.
I have a problem on redirecting my account at blogger.com to my domain name…can you suggest a solution, gaman?…my domain is at powweb.com…any idea what’s wrong?
You can try this:
Put this line in between the <HEAD> tags.
<META HTTP-EQUIV=Refresh CONTENT="5; URL="http://newblogaddress.com">This will redirect your visitors to the new domain in 5 seconds. I wouldn’t recommend ‘0′ as most search engines frown upon this practice.
I cannot save the template…there is an error…
‘Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: Open quote is expected for attribute “HTTP-EQUIV” associated with an element type “META”.’
What is the solution? Another questions, actually I want to host my blog on blogspot but redirecting the URL to my domain name but there is an error also…please advise…KIT
It’s not possible for me to solve the problem here without seeing the code.
Anyway, there’s a mistake in the code I gave earlier. It should be
<META HTTP-EQUIV=Refresh CONTENT="5; URL=http://newblogaddress.com">I suggest you contact blogspot support for the second question.
Thanks gaman…ko jugala…
Cool, how many bandwidth and space are you offering?
It’s probably not hosted on my server. Strictly for hosting Wordpress blog only.
great upgrade. I am looking for dedicated server too. Mind to share your hosting provider?
Will do a review about it soon
I like it. A good offer!
erm…so what is the catch? a link to your websites or ads?
It’ll be along that line. I am still working out the details.
wah…quite some response ar for this post
Nice to have a brand new spanking box. Be sure the bandwidth is stable though
