Adding AdSense On Your Blogger.com Blog Just Got Easier

May 7, 2007 by

If you are using Blogger.com to host your blog – making money using AdSense just got easier.

Google has added a tool for inserting AdSense in you blog easily so that you don’t have to tinker with the HTML. There’s even a built-in options that will analyze the colours on your blog and choose a recommended color scheme.

If you don’t have an AdSense account already, you can sign up for it directly via Blogger.com.

If it’s your first time trying to make money with AdSense I think this is a great option to start with. But if you are really serious about making money, I suggest you purchase a domain name. It’s so cheap there’s no excuse to do so.

You can you your own domain as a branding platform and still enjoy the free hosting at Blogger.com. Many people consider blogs that use their own domain name are more credible too.

It’s much better to have your own domain and your own hosting. Free blog hosting from my experience generates small revenues, especially on blogger. How would sabahan.blogspot.com sound? Bad! :)
Nowadays it’s so easy to install a WordPress blog on your server and add AdSense to your blog. Personally I think revenues from Blogspot or any free blog services are not significant in comparison with your own domain.

While I personally prefer blogs to have its own domain name, hosting your blog on the free blog hosting do not necessary limit your earning potential..

Take Armit Agarwal for example, he is perhaps the most successful Indian pro blogger. His blog Digital Inspiration is hosted at blogger at the following URL http://labnol.blogspot.com/.

He uses his own templates, and really has good content. He is in the minority of course.
