How Much Bloggers Are Currently Earning From Blogging?
May 9, 2007 by Gaman
Paula Neal Mooney has listed Bloggers and the Salaries that they make from their blogging.
I think the title for the post is a little misleading because it leads some readers to believe that those people are actually making all those income exclusively from blogging.
There are quite a few from the list that are making money primarily from non-blogging sources. They just happen to have a blog and several of those make nothing from their blogs.
Tim Carter of AsktheBuilder.com and Rosalind Gardner do run their own blogs but they income comes from affiliate programs not blogging.
I was also a little surprise to see Joel Comm included in the list. As far as I know, he’s a successful Internet marketer not a blogger. She have missed many big names too if Internet marketers were to be included on the list.
Anyway, all I am saying is that the title should indicate that the list includes non-bloggers.
Interestingly, one Malaysian bloggers MenJ at Critical Thoughts has made it into the list. Paula estimated that his making US14,046.84 ($1170.57 x 12) per year. A large portion of this income comes from Pay Per Post
If he’s in there, LiewCF.com and 5xmom.com should be too. Perhaps Paula missed them while compiling the list.
Some talk their earning explicitly while others are a little more general. I would have made it into the list with a five figure monthly income RM. Unless I am making five figures in USD per month, I would rather keep the amount quiet.
Of course the list is not to be seen as an accurate representation of the average bloggers earnings. It’s a good read nevertheless and can be inspirational to those who are trying to make money online.

Your question answered here http://www.sabahan.com/2007/05/08/affiliate-program-success-stories/
Well I’d make it to the list too according to their figures, but I also rather keep quiet.
Hi Gaman, pretty interesting and exciting info
anyway, how come Mike Arrington of TechCrunch not in the list?
I guess she either forgot or doesn’t know Mike Arrington
Wow, didn’t know pay per post could be such a good payout.
yup, u can make quite a lot from ppp but that all depends on how many post u take and what’s the ranking of ur blog. the higher it is, more opportunities u can grab.
10K per month ..walaaaa like my 5 month salary.
Mau berguru sama ko ni bos.. bulihkah?
Her list is good, but too bad she didn’t mention Lilian’s name there. But then again, Lilian didn’t actually post her actual earnings online in a single post, did she?
not bad..ur website is worth US40k.
The estimated value of http://www.sabahan.com is: $40,330
Thanks but I wouldn’t consider any value definitive though. Some other tool says my blog is worth $132,102,36 hehe.
