Top Upgraded to WordPress 2.2

May 22, 2007 by

I apologize if you were having problem accessing this blog for a few minutes after 2:00AM MYT.

I was upgrading WordPress installation to version 2.2. So far so good, except that I am not able to use the Widgets feature because my theme is not widget-aware.

One of the obvious improvements I noticed immediately is the loading time. Everything feels a little speedy especially at the backend where list of items load faster than the previous version of WordPress.

I am looking forward to test drive other new features such as the infinite comment stream, which allows you to delete or spam a comment using the AJAX links under each comment and it will bring in another comment in the background so you always have 20 items on the page.

The new version protects you from activating a plugin or editing a file that will break your blog so let’s see if all the plugins run smoothly.

If you encounter any problem, please let me know. Thanks.

I once switched from WordPress to Drupal for CPU usage issues.
Wordpress is faster now might be because it choses jQuery instead of Prototype.

And I still can’t access your site from Home IP. 🙁
Your hosting server really somethinglah friend. Even after resetting the modem/router, variable IP, it still can’t load [shock].
Now, in the office, it connected just like any other blog/site. Any idea?

I don’t think it’s my server joneh because you are also unable to access right?

Have you tried the suggestion I emailed you the other day?
