How to Increase Your FeedBurner Subscriber Count Instantly

You may have noticed that my FeedBurner subscribers count has increased to around 165+ from a previous value of around 90+.

While the number is still lower than what I hoped it to be, it’s still nice to see the increase.

I find that the majority of Malaysian blog readers prefer to visit blogs directly instead of reading them via a feed reader. Perhaps this is one of the reasons for the low subscriber count shown here.

Anyway, what did I do to increase my the number?

Actually this method does not increase your subscribe count, what it does is that it just start showing you the correct number.

To achieve this, head over to FeedBurner.com and install the plugin called Feedburner_Feedsmith

The plugin detect the ways people used to access your feed (e.g. http://www.yoursite.com/feed/ or http://www.yoursite.com/wp-rss2.php, etc.), and redirect them to your FeedBurner feed so you can track every possible subscriber.

Those who subscribed to http://www.sabahan.com/feed/ are now counted as part of my FeedBurner subscribers.

If you want to know whether your FeedBurner chicklet is showing the right number of subscribers, try this plugin and tell me if it increases your subscriber count.
