How to Make $500 or more Per Month From Text-Link-Ads.com – Guaranteed!
August 15, 2007 by Gaman
If you have been reading this blog for any length of time, you know I’ve written several articles about text-link-ads.com (TLA).
I like TLA because of its low maintenance while allowing me to make money without interupting the user’s experience.
If you haven’t signed up with TLA, click here to do so.
Unless you have a high PageRank blog with a good amount traffic to boot, it’s likely that TLA only brings in a couple of dollars to the table, perhaps less than $50 per month.
For the record, I don’t make more than $500 per month from TLA myself, at least not yet.
This is not too surprising considering that blogging is just one of the things I do to make money online. I am unable to devote as much time as I’d like to help me improve my TLA income quicker.
Anyway, here’s how I plan to increase my TLA income.
TLA offers a convenient way to generate a passive income stream from a blog. As long as the blog is up and running, and if advertisers continue to purchase links from it, you’ll make money regardless of how often the blog is updated.
So how do you make $500 or more per month from TLA?
Create a blog in a specific niche that’s good enough to attract advertisers. Once the blog gets a Google PageRank (PR) 2 or higher, you’ll be eligible to register with TLA.
A link at a PR2 blog could potential sell for $5. Having 10 of these will make you $50 per month. I know, a blog with a PageRank 2 is unlikely have its text link inventory sold out but for argument sake, let’s say it did.
With one blog making you $50 per month, all you have to do next is create nine more in different niches. 10 blogs could potentially make you $500 per month easily. That’s just from TLA, I haven’t even mentioned AdSense and others programs.
Yes, I know what you are thinking. This is easier said than done.
How are you going to find the time to manage and churn out quality content for three blogs, let alone ten? Well you don’t have to. As I said earlier, TLA allows you to generate a passive income stream as long as your blog is up and running. Let me give you some examples.
I’ve several blogs that I’ve stopped updating due to time constrain but they continue to attract advertisers and make money from TLA. One of them is Portable-CD-MP3-Player.com. PCMP has several loyal advertisers that continue to renew their ads month after month.
Another relatively new blog that I’ve set up earlier this year is SoftwareBusinesBlog.com. I know I should have spent more time working on the blog because I think it has a great potential. Anyway, with only three posts so far, the blog manages to attract one text link advertiser. Adding more articles and doing some promotion would certainly help the blog in attracting more sponsors.
If I have several of such blogs, it’s not difficult to see how they could collectively generate several hundreds if not thousands of dollars per month from TLA. Now I am not suggesting that you stop updating your blog or ignore its content entirely. Unless you are a professional blogger, I know it’s hard to find the time to manage multiple blogs while maintaining their quality.
So how can you find the time to update the other blogs? The secret is to outsource the writing to ghost writers or invite quest bloggers to contribute. You could come up with an arrangement to split the blog’s AdSense revenue or let them keep 100% of it while you make money from TLA.
One place you can find cheap writers is at Rent A Coder. Other not-so-cheap places are
On average you could pay $5 per post depending on the post quality and length. It’s up to you to make sure you only get original and good quality articles from the freelancers. You could have 20 well written articles for $100 and post them in your blog one at a time.
Obviously, there are some initial expenses involved and you won’t break even right away but think of it in the long term. If a blog generates $500 per month from AdSense and TLA, spending $100 per month for articles will still give your $400 profit. With 10 of such blogs, you could be making $4000 per month.
If you decide to use this method, you’ll have to trade in quality with quantity for some of the blogs.
As for me, I’ll continue to make sure Sabahan.com maintains its quality and will never outsource the writing here. The other blogs are created with the sole purpose of making money and outsourcing the content is a must if I want to have more time working on my other projects and create good quality content for Sabahan.com
