Marketing, SEO & Blogging Related Blogs That I Read

The number of blogs that I subscribe to changes all the time as new ones being added and old ones are removed as I continue to discover better ones that serve my needs better.
Undoubtedly, there are many other excellent blogs that I have not included in my list. That said, I’m trying to minimize the number of blog that I subscribe to, to the bare minimum. IMHO, there’s no point in subscribing to hundreds and hundreds of blog feeds if the end result is information overload.
Besides, I just don’t have the time to keep up with all of them anyway. While it’s important to read blogs to keep yourself informed of the latest happenings and developments, it’s more important to practice what you’ve read.
Now here are some of the blogs that I’ve been a subscriber for a while.
Google AdSense

There’s no better place to keep track with the latest development with AdSense than from the official AdSense blog - JenSense
Here’s another good source for independent opinions and news for contextual advertising such as AdSense and YPM, although, it appears that this blog has not been updated for a while.
AdWords
- Inside AdWords
Google’s official blog for news, information and tips on AdWords. If you are spending money on Google AdWords, this blog is one that you can’t afford to ignore.
Affiliate Programs
- Affiliate Blog By Shawn Collins
I’ve been reading articles written by Shawn since late 1999. In addition to the normal affiliate marketing industry news, Shawn gives away some useful tips and guides to help people make money from affiliate marketing. - CPA Affiliates
Another good source for tips and techniques in affiliate marketing. Then again, this blog has not been updated since late August. - DerekBeau.com
This is actually one of the better affiliate marketing blogs out there but it appears it’s going through a hiatus since on Nov 13 2007. - ZacJohnson.com

Great list of blogs. I have to say that ShoeMoney is my favourite, it’s just the best blog ever.
That is an impressive list, way more than I am comfortable subscribing too. With a list that size I would be hard pressed to read them all daily, as well as scouring the web for new and upcoming blogs.

I can’t believe you listed the black hat blog :p Anyway, its good to know all techniques. I recently found out that I am ranked no 2 in Yahoo but ranked lower in Google. Seems like Yahoo prefers keyword more.
Hi Gaman, I’m regularly struggling with the information overload you mention. Have you developed any tricks that helps you avoid getting into that “overload” feeling? Even though you’re just following a few blogs they can still hold incredible amounts of information.
I used to follow quite a lot of blogs in the past, not to mention forum threads and posts. But they were quite the time sink. Spent more time reading than actually doing anything.
Now, I favor just one or two blogs that I find really informative.

I’m impressed that you can read so many blogs regularly. I try to keep my information flow to a minimum to help me focus. Otherwise, I spend all my time reading and not enough time marketing!

yahoo does seem to give a preference to keywords as opposed to Google,But,as google loves frsh content so much,would a news widget,e.g.BBC or CNN,keep providing Google with fresh content as news is regularly updated?
