June 26, 2006 by Gaman · 5 Comments
Are you suffering from GAD (Google AdSense Disorder) who needs to check their stats every few seconds to see if you are making more money than you were three seconds ago?
At some point, most people probably have experienced this syndrome
I know I have.
Fortunately there’s a quick and easy cure for this. All you have to do is install the AdSense Notifier plugin for Firefox.
Adsense Notifier displays your AdSense stats on the status bar. You can specify how often to update your stats and what stats to show.
Another nice feature that I like about this plugin is the ability to access and login into my AdSense account easily just by right-clicking the stats on my status bar.
Free Download: Affiliate Marketing Guide Ebook
June 21, 2006 by Gaman · 6 Comments
Andy Williams, who has created a long, extremely useful course for affiliates, has now turned it into an ebook and is giving it away.
The ebook is one of the best affiliate marketing guides around and it won’t cost you a penny.
Head over to Creating “Fat” Affiliate Sites to learn what it’s all about. There’s a table of content included on that page for you to review. If you like it, you can proceed to the download page to get it.
The only catch is you’ll have to subscribe to Andy’s newsletter in order to get the ebook. I say that’s a small price to pay for an extremely useful ebook.

Google has released Google Earth 4 Beta , with SketchUp integration and an improved interface.
The software now supports OS X and Linux. Both version were released simultaneously for PC and MAC.
Google has also updated their database:
- Increased global coverage by four times.
- 20 percent of the landmass of the entire globe is covered with high resolution image. That means about 1/3 of the earth population can now see their homes in high resolution, according to Google.
The city of Kota Kinabalu, Penampang and its surrounding area which were previously shown in a low resolution, cloud covered landmass are now in higher resolution! Oh yes, for the first time ever we can locate people houses in this part of the world via Google Earth. This would be a jaw dropping surprise for some of my friends who are not familiar with Google Earth.
Google Launches Browser Sync for Firefox
June 13, 2006 by Gaman · 2 Comments

Browser Sync is a Firefox extension that synchronizes your browser’s settings, including bookmarks, history, persistent cookies and saved passwords, across multiple computers.
If you only have one computer, this extension is still useful for maintaining backup settings and for restoring open tabs and windows across browser sessions.
If you have several computers, you can install Browser Sync on each computer. Once installed Firefox will update settings each time the user starts Firefox. As a result, the browser will take longer than usual to load.
The setup process is simplified with a wizard that will take you through a series of steps that includes choosing password and the components to be synchronized.
The settings will be automatically downloaded to other computers after you log in with a Google Account username and password and provide the synchronization password.
Free Office Suites That You Can Use Right Away

Not doubt that Microsoft Office is a complete and functional office suite that seems to be able to do anything you could ever want with your documents.
But it doesn’t come cheap. Anyway, if you are not willing to shell out the money, you might want to give any of the following office suites a try. Most of them support Office documents and they won’t cost you a dime.
AjaxWrite
The look, feel, and functionality of Microsoft Word, in a completely web-based AJAX platform. You can import and export documents in all popular formats, including documents with graphics. The save function lets you save your work to a drive on your computer. Also, since you run ajaxWrite from your web browser, it is platform independent and can therefore be used with any operating system.
Free Photo Hosting Service & Drag and Drop Button Creator

Looking for free services to help you host your images and create a cool buttons for you pages? Look no further.
AllYouCanUpload
This is a new service from CNET allowing you to easily upload and host your photos on their server without even the need to register for an account.
Unlike other photo hosting services such as Imageshack and Photobucket, AllYoucanUpload serves no ads on the uploading areas except on the hosted part of the site.
There’s no limit on the size of an image, no limit on the amount of storage consumed and even no limit on the amount of bandwidth your hosted images may consumed!
I can’t help but think there must be some catch hiding somewhere.
So far I haven’t found anything obvious except that you have to signup with Webshots (it’s free), if you want all of your photos to show up as a folder in your own personal homepage. In addition, the upload option, as far as I see, is limited to the web-based interface.
Free Photos For Your Blog Or Web Site
May 28, 2006 by Gaman · 2 Comments
One thing that I’d like to do more in this blog is to add more photos to spice things up a little.
Since I’m not ready to shell out money for custom or stock photography, finding a royalty free photo sites should solve the problem. So if you are like me who are looking for free photos, you can head over to Yotophoto or Everystockphoto for some free photos you can use on your blog or site.
Yotophoto or Everystockphoto do not actually store those photos themselves but instead they are obtained from various sources around the Internet including Google Maps, Wikipedia, Flickr, and other stock photography sites.
Each site is equipped with a search engine facility to help you find suitable photos. Keep in mind that, some of those photos, albeit free to use, is not without usage restrictions. Check out the licensing to find out what you should do before using any photo from those sites.

Free Office Without The Microsoft—ThinkFree Online
Are you looking for an alternative to the Microsoft office apps? Look no further because here comes ThinkFree Online.
ThinkFree Online is the free web-based office apps which allow you to do nearly everything you could with Microsoft Office but all for free.
Extreme Tech has posted an in depth look at this newly updated webware at their site.
Today ThinkFree releases a major update to its suite, upgrading free online storage space from 30MB to 1GB and adding a new lightweight AJAX-based collaboration feature and the ability to apply folksonomy to a document through “tagging” (very Web 2.0). Another Web 2.0 feature of the suite is Mashup—when a web application incorporates functionality with other web services. In ThinkFree’s case, the combination is with Flickr for inserting pictures into documents now, and later the company plans integrating Google and Yahoo for maps, and with del.icio.us for shared bookmarking.
