GLAT – Google Labs Aptitude Test

Posted on 5th March, 2007

Google Labs Aptitude Test was published in several technology magazines where readers were asked to mail in their answers and promised that they would be contacted by Google if they scored well.

I know this is like old news but I just discovered it today and I find it interesting nevertheless.

The test consists of a booklet of 21 problems.

While the questions weren’t really used for hiring, it was a clever PR move which generated a lot of interest from it. It didn’t take long for someone to post the answers online for cheaters to find.

What’s really interesting about is the kind of questions it asked. I know I would have failed it they were exam questions.

Try this;

Write a haiku describing possible methods for predicting search traffic seasonality.

Another question involved asked you to fill a blank rectangle “with something that improves upon emptiness”

Do you think you got what it takes to pass the test? Check the full question list here.
