How Many Hours Do You Spend Per Day To Maintain Your Blog?
Posted on 24th May, 2006
I probably spend around 5 to 8 hours daily to maintain my blogs.
I am doing other stuff during the day such as managing my software business and updating my websites/forums. I dedicate the night time for blogging. However I do not follow a strict regime, sometimes maintaining my websites/forums is done at night too.
I keep myself motivated by writing about things that interest me, and by realizing what the future may bring in term of traffic and revenue potential.
I am thankful to have several people to help me out in maintaining the forums and several of my blogs. Otherwise I won’t be able to do what I do now as effectively as I can.
Several of my blogs that do not require time sensitive content are sometimes updated during the weekends, but that’s not always the case when there’s a lot of fun distractions during that time. I don’t usually blog on Sunday.
Anyway, after I’ve prepared the post content, I’ll edit the post timestamp so that each post will be published sometime in the future throughout the weekdays. This leaves me more time to spend on the important things during the weekdays.
How about you? How long do you take to research and write new content for your blog? Do you use any strategy?
